Major League Baseball players ratify Collective Bargaining Agreement
Clark & Loretta re-elected as Association Player Representatives

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. -- The Major League Baseball Players Association has ratified the new Basic Agreement recently negotiated with the Major League owners, announced Don Fehr, Executive Director. The new Basic Agreement runs through the 2011 season. The Players Association concluded the ratification process during its annual Executive Board meeting this week.

Fehr also announced the re-elections of Tony Clark and Mark Loretta as Association Player Representatives and Craig Counsell and Ray King as Alternate Association Player Representatives. Mike Myers (re-elected) and Mark Teixeira were elected Pension Committee Representatives and Rich Aurilia (re-elected) and Chris Capuano were named Alternate Pension Committee Representatives. Each serves for a two-year term.
