OFFICIAL RULES
New York Mets Met Your Pet presented by Nylabone and Four Paws Official Rules (the "Official Rules")

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
The object of New York Mets Met Your Pet Contest is to submit an original photo of your pet in costume. The New York Mets and sponsor staff members will judge all photos based on criteria set forth in the Judging section below.

Eligibility
The New York Mets Met Your Pet Contest (the "Contest") is open to legal residents of the United States (excluding Arizona and excluding where otherwise prohibited by law, rule or regulation) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry (each, a "Participant"). Void where prohibited by law. Limit one (1) entry per person. Employees, officers and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household) of New York Mets and Central Garden & Pet Company of Walnut Creek, CA ("Sponsor") and the other MLB Entities and each of their respective subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to participate. The "MLB Entities" shall mean the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. ("MLBAM"), Major League Baseball Enterprises, Inc., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc. (doing business in its own name and as Major League Baseball Productions), Baseball Television, Inc. (d/b/a Major League Baseball International), the Major League Baseball Clubs, and each of their subsidiaries or affiliated entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Major League Baseball Clubs or the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, and the directors, officers and employees of the above entities.

Contest Period
The Contest runs from April 5, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. ET and ends on September 10, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. ET (the "Contest Period").

How to Enter
To enter, Participants must log on to www.mets.com and register by filling out the following fields on the game entry page:

After submitting the above information, you will be given an e-mail address to send your photo to and a confirmation number which needs to be included on your e-mail. The photo must be a jpeg no smaller than 720 x 486 pixel height and width. By submitting the photo with your confirmation number to the e-mail address given, you will automatically be entered in the Contest. Entrants to the Contest will be given the option to receive commercial e-mails from Mets.com; however, eligibility to participate in the Contest is not dependent upon entrant's consent to receive such e-mails. All information submitted by entrants is subject to MLB.com's Privacy Policy accessible at: www.mlb.com/mlb/help/mlb_help_about_privacy.jsp. Entrants must complete all non-optional data requested on the online entry form. Incomplete entries are void.

All non-winning entries will be eligible for all subsequent drawings.

Judging
A panel of New York Mets and sponsor judges will judge the final selections. Photos will be judged on originality and creativity, both of which are up to the sole discretion of the Sponsor. There will be ten (10) judging dates, which are as follows:

The most compelling photos as determined by the judges will be Grand Prize winner.

Publication and Assignment of Copyright
By entering the Contest, each Participant agrees that his or her submission is an original work of authorship and he or she owns all right, title and interest in the entry as of the date of submission. By entering the Contest, Participants agree to assign all right, title, and interest, including copyright rights, in the entry to Sponsor and grant permission for Sponsor and MLBAM to publish or publicize all or part of their entry, including but not limited to Participant's name, likeness and photo, in whole or in part, for advertising, promotional and trade purposes in conjunction with this and similar promotions in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without notice and without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

The Winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, international and local taxes. All costs and expenses not specified herein, related to the Prize, including but not limited to lodging, transportation costs, meals, taxes (including income taxes) and gratuities and other expenses incurred by accepting the prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. All prizes will be awarded. Limit one prize per person, family or household. Winner's companions must be 18 years of age or older, unless traveling with a parent or guardian. All MLB game dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the Office of Commissioner of Baseball and/or Sponsor, as applicable, and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as prizes will govern in the event a legal game, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played due to weather, an act of God, act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason.

Grand Prize is non-transferable, with no cash redemptions or substitutions except at Sponsor's sole discretion. [The MLB Entities will not be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation of any Major League Baseball game.] There will be no substitutions for the Grand Prize except due to unavailability, in which case, a cash prize of equal value to the face value of the Grand Prize will be awarded at the exclusive discretion of Sponsor.

Game Administration
Sponsor will be responsible for resolving any disputes and rules violations that arise in connection with the Contest. All decisions by Sponsor regarding the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects.

General Conditions
By participating in the Contest, each Participant in the Contest accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, the MLB.com Privacy Policy and MLB.com Website Terms of Use.

The Grand Prize winner will be notified by e-mail and/or telephone. In the event that the winner does not respond to any such notification within three (3) days, a disqualification will result and an alternate winner shall be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries. The Winner will receive Sponsor's Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability, which must be completed, notarized and returned within ten (10) days of receipt. A disqualification will result and an alternative winner will be selected from among all remaining eligible entries if the Sponsor's Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability are not properly returned within the specified period of time. Refusal or return of Sponsor's Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability as non-deliverable will also result in disqualification and cause an alternative winner to be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries.

All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. This Contest and these Official Rules will be governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any court of competent jurisdiction sitting within the State of New York, New York County will be the exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to this Contest or these Official Rules.

The MLB Entities shall not be responsible for lost, late or misdirected online entries, for incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete entry information whether caused by a Participant, equipment, or technical malfunction or for any human error, technical error or malfunctions. Sponsor reserves the right to halt, modify, or suspend the Contest at any time during the Contest Period due to situations beyond the control of the MLB Entities such as work stoppages, acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, etc.

The MLB Entities shall not be responsible for typographical or other human or technical errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection and announcement of the Grand Prize winner or the distribution of the prizes. Sponsor reserves the right to modify these Official Rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Contest.

The MLB Entities, their respective parent companies, trustees, subsidiaries, franchisees, licensees, agents, independent contractors and advertising and promotional agencies make no warranties, express or implied, relative to the use or enjoyment of any prize or portions thereof, including without limitations, its quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. By entering the Contest, Grand Prize winner agrees to hold harmless and fully release Sponsor, the other MLB Entities and each of their respective parent companies, trustees, subsidiaries, franchisees, licensees, employees, agents, independent contractors and advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, death, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from the acceptance, possession, quality, use or misuse of any prize, or any portion of any prize or travel related to the receipt or use of any prize.

The Contest is a skill contest designed to increase consumer awareness of and interest in Major League Baseball and MLB.com, the Official Site of Major League Baseball. This Contest may not be used for any form of gambling.

Internet
If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor or the MLB Entities which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. In such event Sponsor further reserves the right to judge the entries received prior such event and award the Grand Prize as of the termination date.

The MLB Entities assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The MLB Entities are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR, THE OTHER MLB ENTITIES AND THEIR AGENTS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

All entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. In case of multiple entries, only the first entry received will be considered. In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on an e-mail address, entries will be declared made by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. The "Authorized Account Holder" is the person to whom the Internet service provider or other organization (such as business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

Any entry that is incomplete, late or otherwise does not comply with these Official Rules will be disqualified.

In the event that the Contest is challenged by any legal or regulatory authority, Sponsor reserves the right to discontinue or modify the Contest, or to disqualify Participants residing in the affected geographic areas. In such event, the MLB Entities shall have no liability to any Participants who are disqualified due to such an action.
