"Mets Warm-Up" Holiday Coat Drive
The New York Mets, SportsNet New York and DHL hosted the 2nd annual "Mets Warm-Up Coat Drive" in conjunction with New York Cares on December 12 and 13.
Each donor received a voucher redeemable for a pair of tickets to a select Mets home game in April of the 2008 season.
Over 700 Mets fans donated more than 1,400 coats.
The Mets thank DHL, the official express delivery and logistics company of the New York Mets and Major League Baseball, for donating their services to deliver the coats to the New York Cares warehouse in Manhattan. New York Cares serves more than 850 diverse nonprofit agencies, public schools, and other deserving organizations throughout the five boroughs.
