When the Mets are in town, motorists can expect delays along the Grand Central Parkway, Van Wyck and Whitestone expressways and Northern Boulevard.

Your BEST bet is transit - the 7 Train or the LIRR. The E or F Trains to Roosevelt Avenue to the 7 Train will save you plenty of time.

Here are some driving tips to get to the south parking areas:
  • To get to the south parking area from the Whitestone Expressway, stay left and get onto the southbound Van Wyck Expressway. Exit at 12A, eastbound Long Island Expressway, College Point Blvd. At College Point Blvd., make a right, follow 58th Road, bear right again, then follow directions from police.
  • From the LIE westbound, do not get onto the Grand Central. Instead, get off at Exit 22B, follow the service road. At the first light make a right on to College Point Blvd. Then make your first left into the park and follow signs to Shea Parking.
