The Mets' second half started off inauspiciously. A three-run fourth inning, thanks to Gary Sheffield's RBI single, ex-Brave Jeff Francoeur's RBI groundout and Daniel Murphy's RBI double, gave them a one-run lead, but starter Oliver Perez gave it up, and the bullpen allowed the winning run to score in the seventh.
