The Mets gave Oliver Perez an early lead in the third on Carlos Beltran's RBI single and Ryan Church's two-run double, but the lefty couldn't hold it, walking five and allowing eight runs in 4 1/3 innings. Alex Cora and Carlos Delgado each had an RBI.
