Mike Pelfrey allowed four runs in the first but followed with four shutout innings, allowing the Mets to battle back and then blow it open on Brian Schneider's three-run double in the seventh. Carlos Delgado went deep, and Francisco Rodriguez loaded the bases but earned his second save.
