Former Pirate Oliver Perez cruised for five frames before hitting a wall in the decisive sixth inning, allowed five unearned runs in the series-finale loss to the Bucs. Perez fanned nine in the uneven outing, as his record fell to 9-7. Lastings Milledge and Jose Reyes each belted solo homers.
