Baltimore scored a season-high nine runs in the seventh inning and loaded the bases in the eighth, but fell one run short. Right-hander Rodrigo Lopez surrendered seven earned runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings. Corey Patterson went 5-for-5 with two RBIs and Jeff Conine drove in three.
