The largest regular-season crowd in Dodger Stadium history nearly witnessed a spectacular comeback. Ace Derek Lowe gave up seven earned runs in five innings, but the Dodgers clawed nearly all the way back, bringing the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the ninth before falling.
