Medical Update on Bobby Parnell
By / MLB.com
Bobby Parnell was examined this morning at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) after complaining of tightness in his right forearm after the game yesterday. After an MRI and clinical evaluation, Bobby was diagnosed with an incomplete tear of the Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) in his right elbow. He received a Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injection and has been prescribed complete rest for approximately two weeks. After this rest period, Bobby will commence a throwing program, the outcome of which will determine whether elbow surgery will be required.
