FLUSHING -- The New York Mets announced today they have signed outfielder Brady Clark to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.

Clark, 34, hit .262 (28-107) with 13 runs scored, five doubles, two triples and 11 RBI in 68 combined games last year with the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres.

Brady began the 2007 season with the Dodgers before he was released on June 18. He was signed to a minor league contract by the Padres on August 16.

The 6-2, 207-pounder played in 10 games with the Mets in 2002, going 5-12 (.417) with an RBI. He was acquired in the deal that sent Shawn Estes to Cincinnati on August 15 that season.

Clark has hit .278 (557-2,007) with 97 doubles, seven triples, 36 home runs and 209 RBI in 778 major league games with the Reds, Brewers, Mets, Dodgers and Padres.
