The New York Mets will honor 300-game winner Tom Glavine in an on-field, pre-game ceremony Sunday, August 12th before the Mets host the Florida Marlins at Shea Stadium.

The ceremony will include a video tribute to Glavine as well as surprise presentations from his teammates and the organization.

Glavine became the 23rd member of the 300-win club on August 5th at Chicago in an 8-3 triumph over the Cubs. Tom is just the fifth lefthanded pitcher in major league history to reach 300 victories. Glavine also became the first pitcher to win his 300th game in a Mets uniform and the fourth pitcher to record at least one of his 300 victories with New York. Tom Seaver won 198 games with the Mets from 1967-1977 and 1983, Nolan Ryan earned 29 victories with New York from 1966-1971 and Warren Spahn won four games for the Amazin's in 1965.

Tickets are available by calling 718-507-TIXX or logging onto mets.com or losmets.com.
