Mets 2006 ticket sales surpass two million
Milestone reached three weeks ahead of 2005 mark; Mets to host season ticket and ticket plan holders for inaugural "Mets Workout Day at Shea" Sunday, April 2

FLUSHING, N.Y. -- The New York Mets today announced that fans have purchased more than two million tickets for the 2006 season at Shea Stadium, two weeks in advance of Opening Day Monday, April 3. By comparison, the Mets reached the same attendance benchmark last year on April 10, the day prior to their 2005 home opener.

Opening Day and the Yankees Series (May 19-21) are sold out. Tickets for these four games are still available through the purchase of Season Tickets, select Ticket Plans, and Six Packs.

EXCLUSIVE ACCESS FOR HOLDERS OF SEASON TICKETS AND TICKET PLANS
The Mets - for the first time ever - will hold an exclusive "Mets Workout Day at Shea" on Sunday, April 2 for Season Ticket and Ticket Plan holders to watch the Mets' final pre-season workout in preparation for the 2006 season.

Fans purchasing Season Tickets and Ticket Plans also have postseason ticket purchase options. Continuing Season Ticket holders will have priority in purchasing Season Tickets in the New Mets Ballpark, which is scheduled to open in 2009.

SIX PACKS
The Family and Pedro Packs Six Packs are sold out. The '86 Pack - which includes tickets to the Saturday, August 19 on-field reunion of the 1986 World Champion Mets - is rapidly approaching a sellout. Available Six Packs, each of which includes a Mets-Yankees game at Shea, start at $155.

All-Star Pack
This Six Pack includes tickets for Opening Day and a game against the Yankees.

• Opponents: Nationals (Monday, April 3), Yankees (Sunday, May 21), Pirates (Wednesday, July 5), Cubs (Monday, July 24), Cardinals (Thursday, August 24), Dodgers (Thursday, September 7)
• Same Mezzanine Reserved or Upper Level Box seating for five games. The Mets-Yankees game will be Upper Level Reserved seating.
• $159 per seat

Champion Pack
The Mets take on the defending National League Champion Houston Astros and other division champions.

• Opponents: Braves (Friday, May 5 and Tuesday, September 5), Yankees (Saturday, May 20), Astros (Friday, July 21), Padres (Wednesday, August 9), and Cardinals (Tuesday, August 22)
• Same Mezzanine Reserved or Upper Level Box seating for five games. The Mets-Yankees game will be Upper Level Reserved seating.
• $155 per seat.

Rival Pack
The Mets face all four division rivals.

• Opponents: Braves (Monday, April 17 and Monday, September 4), Yankees (Friday, May 19), Marlins (Friday, July 7), Phillies (Friday, August 4), and Nationals (Friday, September 22)
• Same Mezzanine Reserved or Upper Level Box seating for five games. The Mets-Yankees game will be Upper Level Reserved seating.
• $155 per seat

Power Pack
Eight of the top 10 National League home run leaders from 2005, including the National League Most Valuable Player Albert Pujols, visit Shea.

• Opponents: Braves (Tuesday, April 18), Yankees (Friday, May 19), Reds (Monday, June 19), Cubs (Tuesday, July 25), Cardinals (Wednesday, August 23), and Marlins (Thursday, September 21)
• Same Mezzanine Reserved or Upper Level Box seating for all six games
• $156 per seat
