    The San Diego Padres announced they have extended Major League Spring Training invitations to 28 players. Among those 28 players are 14 minor league free agents whom the Padres have signed to 2017 contracts that will be new to the organization this season, including right-handed pitchers Logan Bawcom, Carlos Fisher, Aroni Nina, Andre Rienzo and Craig Stammen, catchers Tony Cruz and Stephen McGee, infielders Erick Aybar, Dusty Coleman, Jamie Romak and Christian Villanueva and outfielders Nick Buss, Collin Cowgill and Rafael Ortega.

    Additional details today have been announced for Saturday's Celebrate San Diego Rally at Petco Park's Park at the Park.
