MLB Mascots to Join Fans at MLB All-Star Game 5K & Fun Run
Mr. Met and nine other MLB mascots will join Major League Baseball and former Mets pitcher and MLB All-Star Ambassador John Franco at the MLB All-Star Game 5K & Fun Run benefiting Sandy Relief presented by Nike on Saturday, July 13th in Brooklyn's Prospect Park.

Corporate sponsors support the 2013 MLB Diversity Business Summit in Houston
National and local corporate sponsors, including "Fortune 500" companies Dell, Inc., Liberty Mutual Insurance, ARAMARK and CISCO, have signed on to support the 2013 MLB Diversity Business Summit, which is co-hosted by MLB and the Houston Astros and will be held June 18th and 19th at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

Chevrolet named title sponsor of Home Run Derby
Major League Baseball Properties (MLBP) and Chevrolet, a division of General Motors Corporation (NYSE:GM), today announced that Chevrolet – the “Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball” since 2005 – will be the title sponsor of the 2013 Chevrolet Home Run Derby. The 2013 Chevrolet Home Run Derby will be held Monday, July 15 at Citi Field in New York, home of the New York Mets, and televised live on ESPN beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Markakis joins OF leaders as four O's highlight latest AL balloting figures
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Nick Markakis, who is aiming for his All-Star Game debut, has joined the American League outfield leaders in the third balloting figures for the 84th All-Star Game, to be played on Tuesday, July 16th at Citi Field in New York. The latest A.L. results were announced earlier this evening on FOX as part of its "Baseball Night in America" pre-game show. The third National League balloting results will be revealed tomorrow night on ESPN during "Baseball Tonight" at 7:00 p.m. (EDT) prior to its Sunday Night Baseball telecast.

Central Omaha Legion Baseball Association awarded more than $17,000
