Omaha produced five-run innings in the fourth and the eighth en route to a matinee win. Max Ramirez hit a three-run homer in both of those frames, finishing with six RBIs. Johnny Giavotella and David Lough each added solo shots. Lough finished with two hits, two RBIs and three runs. Jeremy Jeffress scattered a hit and two walks over three scoreless innings for the relief win. Jeffress has a 1.64 ERA through 11 innings pitched (two earned runs).

Wilmington scored a season-high nine runs in a win vs. Carolina. Kevin David went 4-for-4 with two doubles, four RBIs and two runs scored. The Blue Rocks also turned a triple play, the first by Wilmington since Aug. 27, 1997, at Frederick. The play featured a strikeout, a runner caught stealing and a rundown. Leondy Perez (5 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 0 ER) picked up the win, and Sugar Ray Marimon tossed four scoreless innings for his first pro save.

Rain and excessive wind postponed Monday's game in Beloit. A doubleheader is scheduled for Tuesday, with the first contest slated to start at 4:30.
