Pelfrey to take part in online chat on Thursday
Fans can log on at 3 p.m. ET to get righty's take on 2011 Mets
Right-hander Mike Pelfrey firmly established himself as one of the leaders of the Mets' starting staff in 2010, a role the club would like him to reprise this season.
The 27-year-old turned in one of his strongest seasons yet, going 15-9 with a 3.66 ERA. As one of the leaders of the staff, Pelfrey also proved to be quite the workhorse, registering a career-high 204 innings.
With the return date of ace Johan Santana uncertain, the Mets will once again look to Pelfrey to provide front-of-the-rotation stability in 2011.
This Thursday, the big man himself will sit down with fans in a live chat to answer questions about his take on the 2011 Mets, the starting staff and more. In addition to being able to submit questions on Mets.com, fans can also send questions via Twitter using the hashtag #askbigpelf.
The chat will be streamed live from Citi Field on Mets.com at 3 p.m. ET.
