Umpire Crawford exits with back pain
Game delayed 14 minutes after crew chief leaves in second
NEW YORK -- Home-plate umpire Jerry Crawford left the Rays' 10-6 win over the Mets at Citi Field in the second inning with lower back pain.
Scott Barry, who had been the first-base umpire, took over behind the plate, while Phil Cuzzi moved from second base to first. Tom Hallion stayed at third.
Crawford, the crew chief, left the game with one out in the second, right after David Wright scored the contest's first run on a wild pitch. The game was delayed 14 minutes.
