Series finale vs. Phillies rained out

Game to be rescheduled for date to be determined

05/03/09 12:09 PM ET

The Mets and Phillies will have to settle for a split in their first series of the season after Sunday's finale at Citizens Bank Park was postponed due to inclement weather.

No makeup date has been announced. The Mets next visit Philadelphia on July 3-5. The two teams will also meet at Citizens Bank Park on Sept. 11-13, with both clubs having a scheduled off-day Sept. 14.

The Mets are off to Atlanta for two games against the Braves, beginning Monday night.

The Phillies next travel to St. Louis for a two-game set against the Cardinals, beginning Monday night, before making their first visit to Citi Field on Wednesday, when they'll open a two-game series against the Mets.

It is not yet known if the Mets or Phillies plan to alter their starting rotations as a result of Sunday's postponement.
