Mets bring back Figueroa
Right-hander will report to Buffalo; club also signs Lamb
After testing free agency last week when designated for assignment by the Mets, Nelson Figueroa decided to re-sign with his old club after all on Saturday.Figueroa was designated for assignment by the Mets after allowing three runs in six innings in a start against the Brewers on Sunday to make room for left-hander Casey Fossum in the bullpen. But Figueroa decided to rejoin the organization and will pitch at Triple-A Buffalo. Figueroa, 34, went 3-3 with a 4.57 ERA last season with the Mets in 17 appearances, including six starts. The Mets also signed infielder Mike Lamb to a Minor League deal, and he will join Figueroa in Buffalo. Lamb, 33, batted .235 with one homer and 32 RBIs in 92 games with the Twins and Brewers last year.
