Mets unveil additional patch for caps
Club's new patch displays arches of Citi Field rotunda

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- At the risk of reigniting the silly "patch" controversy that developed last month, the Mets introduced another patch -- not a replacement -- Thursday.

The new one will adorn the left side of the team's caps during the regular season. This patch celebrates the first season of Citi Field. The arches of the rotunda of Citi Field are depicted.
The other, to be worn on uniform sleeves, is the basic Citi Field patch.
