Dodgers at the plate: The Dodgers scored an unearned run in the sixth on Mike Lieberthal's sacrifice fly and added a run in the seventh on Larry Bigbie's RBI infield single.
Mets at the plate: Jose Reyes scored four runs on three singles and a walk, with three stolen bases. Ramon Castro slugged a two-run homer. David Wright and Carlos Beltran had two hits each, with Beltran driving in two runs.
Dodgers on the mound: With Brad Penny scratched, Hong-Chih Kuo started and was wild. He was charged with two runs in three innings on only one hit, but four walks and four wild pitches. Elmer Dessens allowed a two-run homer and three runs in three innings. Chad Billingsley pitched a perfect inning. Rudy Seanez pitched a scoreless inning.
Mets on the mound: Starter Oliver Perez scattered five hits and allowed one unearned run in six innings. Jorge Sosa pitched a scoreless ninth.
Grapefruit League records: Dodgers 13-10, Mets 8-14-1.
Up next: Fifth-starter candidate Brett Tomko and long shot Joe Mays are scheduled to pitch for the Dodgers against Baltimore Thursday, as is reliever Joe Beimel.
