ELIGIBILITY: The Verizon Wireless Friends & Family Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open only to legal residents of the New York Metropolitan area (defined as Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties, as well as the boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island), and northern New Jersey (defined as Bergen, Essex, Passaic, Sussex, Morris, Union, Middlesex, Hunterdon, and Somerset counties) who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same household, whether or not related) of Verizon Wireless (the "Sponsor"), Realtime Media, Inc., the MLB Entities and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes are not eligible to participate or win a prize. The "MLB Entities" shall mean the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. ("MLBAM" or "MLB.com"), Major League Baseball Enterprises, Inc., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., the Major League Baseball Clubs, Tickets.com, Inc., SportsOnEarth, LLC and each of their respective subsidiaries or affiliated entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Major League Baseball Clubs or the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, and the directors, officers, employees and agents of the above entities. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Void outside the states listed above and where prohibited or restricted by law, rule or regulation.
HOW TO ENTER: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 PM Eastern Time ("ET") on Monday, November 2, 2009 and ends at11:59:59 PM ET on Monday, November 30, 2009 ("Entry Period"). There are two ways to enter: online or by mail. No other method of entry will be accepted. Limit eleven (11) entries per person/e-mail address during the Entry Period regardless of method of entry.
1. Online Method of Entry: During the Entry Period go to www.mets.com and click on the Sweepstakes banners, buttons and/or links to access the online entry form for the Sweepstakes. By successfully transmitting a completed online entry form as directed, you will be entered in the Sweepstakes. All information submitted online by entrants is subject to, and will be treated in a manner consistent with, the Mets.com Terms of Use accessible at http://mlb.mlb.com/nym/help/nym_help_about_terms.jsp and Privacy Policy accessible at http://mlb.mlb.com/nym/help/nym_help_about_privacy.jsp. Entrants must fully complete and submit all non-optional data requested on the online entry form to be eligible. Incomplete entries are void. Online entrants to the Sweepstakes may be given the option to receive (a) commercial e-mails from Verizon Wireless, MLB.com and/or Mets.com; and/or (b) mobile text messages and updates from Mets.com and MLB.com; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant's consent to receive such e-mails or mobile text messages and updates. Additional Entries
Entrants will be able to obtain ten (10) additional entries into the Sweepstakes if they are members of the Verizon Wireless Friends & Family offering or if they become one during the Entry Period. Only entrants that are currently eligible to add Friends & Family to their plan without upgrading their plan and/or making any purchase are eligible to receive the ten (10) additional entries, except pursuant to the Mail-In Method detailed below. Verizon Wireless customers on any Nationwide Single line calling plan with 900 Anytime Minutes or More or any Nationwide Family SharePlan® with 1400 Anytime Minutes or More as of 12:00:00 PM ET on November 1, 2009 are eligible to add Friends & Family without upgrading their plan and/or making any purchase. Verizon Wireless customers may determine if they meet the criteria above and are eligible for Friends & Family by visiting www.verizonwireless.com/myverizon. Once on the page, you will need to access your Verizon Wireless account by either signing in or completing the registration form. My Verizon is free to all Verizon Wireless customers. Once you have accessed your Verizon Wireless account page, click "Am I Eligible" in the Introducing Friends & Family box. Your eligibility status will then be displayed.
2. Mail-in Method of Entry: If you do not wish to enter online, or would like to receive eleven (11) Sweepstakes entries without having to become a Verizon Wireless Friends & Family member, you may enter the Sweepstakes for free by hand-printing your full name, address, city, state and zip code, day & evening telephone numbers (including area code), date of birth and e-mail address (optional) on a 3"x5" postcard and mailing it in an envelope with proper postage affixed to: The Mets Friends & Family Sweepstakes, 295 E. Swedesford Rd, PO Box 104, Wayne, PA 19087. You need only mail in one (1) entry in order to earn eleven (11) Sweepstakes entries. Sponsor will use e-mail addresses provided via the Mail-in entry method for prize notification purposes only; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant's provision of this information. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by Monday, November 30, 2009 and received by Sponsor by December 7, 2009 to be eligible. Mail-in entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
RANDOM DRAWING: The potential winner(s) of the Sweepstakes (each, a "Winner" and collectively, the "Winners") will be selected by random drawing on or about December 15, 2009 from among all eligible entries received by the Sponsor or MLBAM, as applicable. The decisions of Sponsor are final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Limit one (1) Prize per person, family or household.
PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize and One (1) First Place Prize (the Grand Prize and First Place Prize each a "Prize" and collectively, the "Prizes') Will Be Awarded.
Grand Prize: Winner and nineteen (19) guests will each get (1) ticket to a Sterling Suite for one (1) Mets 2010 regular season home game to be played at Citi Field in Flushing, NY. Game date will be selected by Verizon Wireless and will take place in the month of April 2010. Suite package includes a private, catered suite for the game. Total Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of Grand Prize is $ 4,000.
First Place Prize: Winner will receive four (4) premium seat tickets to one (1) Mets regular season home game to be played at Citi Field in Flushing, NY. Game date will be selected by Verizon Wireless and will take place in the month of April 2010. Total ARV of First Place Prize is $800.00.

Prize Restrictions: TRANSPORTATION AND LODGING NOT INCLUDED IN ANY PRIZE. Winner must be able to attend the events on the dates specified by the Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to change the dates listed above. Specifics of all prizes are in Sponsor's sole discretion. Each Winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes). All costs and expenses associated with Prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided, including but not limited to lodging, transportation costs, meals, gratuities and other expenses incurred by accepting the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Winner's companions must be of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Major League Baseball game, event and exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball and/or the applicable Major League Baseball Club, as applicable, and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as prizes will govern in the event a legal game, event or exhibition, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played due to weather, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason. Each Winner and his/her guests agree to comply with all applicable ballpark regulations in connection with the Prize. Sponsor and the applicable MLB Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to any Winner and/or his/her guests who engage in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the game, event or exhibition. Released Parties (defined below) will not be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any Major League Baseball game, event or exhibition. The Prize is non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions except at Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value at its sole and absolute discretion.
NOTIFICATION: The potential Winner(s) will be notified by e-mail, telephone and/or mail (in the sole discretion of Sponsor and/or MLBAM, as applicable) (the "Prize Notification"). In the event that any potential Winner does not respond to any such Prize Notification within three (3) days of date of issuance, a disqualification will result and prize will be forfeited, at Sponsor's sole discretion and time permitting, an alternate potential Winner may be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries. The potential Winners may be required to submit his/her valid social security number and/or other identification to Sponsor and may be required to execute, have notarized and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, W9 form, and Release of Liability and, where legal, Publicity, within five (5) days of date of issuance. Failure to submit any identification required by Sponsor or to return the required documents within the specified time period, noncompliance with these Official Rules or the return of any prize or Prize Notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor's sole discretion and time permitting, may cause an alternate potential Winner to be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY/PUBLICITY RELEASE: By participating in the Sweepstakes and submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to (i) be bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements, and (ii) waive any and all claims against the Sponsor, the MLB Entities and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, representatives and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, "Released Parties") for any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the Sweepstakes or from the receipt or use of any Prize or any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of any Prize. Each Winner, by acceptance of Prize, grants to Sponsor, MLBAM and each of their respective designees the right to publicize such Winner's name, address (city and state of residence), photograph, voice, statements and/or other likeness and prize information in any media now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity, without limitation and without additional compensation or consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties are not responsible for stolen, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, misdirected, lost, damaged, garbled, delayed, incomplete, postage-due or garbled entries, email or mail; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or problems of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, network, computer, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the Prize or in any Sweepstakes-related materials, or the cancellation or postponement of any Major League Baseball game, event or exhibition. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading materials from or use of the website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes or website or attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, deception or other unfair playing practices, or intend to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor's representatives or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this Sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsor, MLBAM or their respective agents. Sponsor shall have the sole right to disqualify any entrant for violation of these Official Rules or any applicable laws relating to the Sweepstakes, and to resolve all disputes in their sole discretion. Released Parties (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any prize, and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. All disputes will be resolved under applicable U.S. laws in the County of New York, state of New York.
Sponsor and MLBAM reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify, terminate or suspend the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes corrupt administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof). In the event of cancellation, Sponsor may elect to identify winners and award the prizes by way of random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the time of such cancellation.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE CONTENT OR LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR AND MLBAM WILL DISQUALIFY ANY SUCH ENTRANT AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES) AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Entries generated by a script, macro or other mechanical or automated means will be disqualified. All online entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. In case of multiple entries received from any person or email address or household, only the first entry received from such person or email address or household will be considered. In the event of dispute as to the identity or eligibility of any winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry provided he/she is eligible according to these Official Rules. The "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as a business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
