About Major League Baseball Greening
In March, Major League Baseball and the Natural Resources Defense Council announced the creation of the Team Greening Program which has been developing for two years. This program supports and coordinates the many environmentally-sensitive practices now pursued by virtually every Major League Baseball Club.

Each team has received a customized guide they can use to implement new environmental practices. The "The NRDC Team Greening Advisor for Major League Baseball" are comprehensive guides that feature team-specific steps designed to help each organization understand eco-intelligent practices and help each team evaluate what might be right in its circumstances. Examples include promoting alternative transportation, supporting renewable energy, offering organic foods, utilizing post-consumer recycled paper or implementing stronger recycling programs. Visit greensports.org/mlb to view your favorite team's personalized guide.

To find out more about the environmentally responsible initiatives your favorite Club is engaged in, visit the Community Information section of their webpage.
