Iconic backstop Gary Carter, a leader of the 1986 World Series champion Mets and the only man enshrined in the Hall of Fame as an Expos player, died at 57, less than a year after being diagnosed with brain cancer. An 11-time All-Star and two-time MVP of the Midsummer Classic, "Kid" caught the most games in NL history, while being one of the most feared hitting catchers of his era. More »
