Josh Thole with the workers & their families.
Semi Nkozi and Joseph Maneggio, two New York sanitation workers, were honored at Citi Field Tuesday night for their incredible acts of bravery.
While driving along their usual route in Rockaway, N.Y. at 6:15 a.m. on Dec. 13, the two men noticed the roof of a nearby building was on fire.
Without thinking twice, Nkozi and Maneggio jumped into action and ran into the building, only to find five children and their mother inside. The two sanitation workers rescued the entire family and brought them to safety.
For their heroics, the two men threw out the first pitch prior to Tuesday's Mets game.
