Through the Cincinnati Reds partnership with the Major League Baseball Commissioner's Community Initiative, we are happy to provide the opportunity for a fun day at the ballpark as a reward for the accomplishments of organizations and the achievements of the people they serve. The primary goal of the Commissioner's Community Initiative is to distribute tickets to those youth-serving, community and civic groups who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend a Major League Baseball game. The Cincinnati Reds donated nearly 130,000 tickets to deserving groups during the 2014 season.
Hosted by the Major League Baseball Players Association, Players Give Back is an opportunity to give back to community partners in the non-profit field. This program recognizes the contributions these local organizations give to the community.
JJay Bruce hosts a monthly ticket program that invites children with special needs to enjoy a Reds game at Great American Ball Park. Groups from last season include Auglaize County Special Olympics and KABC (Kettering Amateur Baseball Commissioner) Explorer Baseball. The group receives a special scoreboard welcome along with custom made Reds caps.
Jay Bruce provides the opportunity for local military families to enjoy Sunday home games from the Sun Deck. The group receives a special welcome along with custom made military style Reds caps.
